The theme of the 1930 forty-first annual Rose Parade was "Festival Days in Flowers"
"Saint Valentine's Day" float with white swans swimming beside a gondola on a heart-shaped base. A little boy dressed as cupid (Weber Callicot or Russell Rich) and 2 girls are in the gondola and a little Cupid girl is sitting next to the gondola (Betty Jo Tunnell, Juanita Pettit and Maryline Burke). Eight or 9 of the 10 outwalkers are visible (Marjorie Warner, June Towne, Clarabelle Daniels, Fern and Jean Syme, Louise Hawley, Virginia Eggleton, Elizabeth Hall, Violet Smith and Geraldine Wood). The float was entered by the city of Whittier and is shown at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Orange Grove Blvd. - Caption
