Text reads, in part: 7/15/31, 2542, Adelbert Bartlett, Santa Monica. Father Neal Dodd, world famous "Padre of the Movies," pastor of St. Mary of the Angels (Episcopal), celebrates his twelfth year as a Hollywood pastor during which he not only has attended to the spiritual needs of a growing flock which includes a number of motion picture folk but has performed fully 95 per cent. of the weddings filmed and recorded in Hollywood studios during this time. ... has served as technical advisor ... has wed practically every motion picture player of prominence for art's sake. But Father Dodd has not neglected regular masses and sermons and real weddings and other duties of his parish ... his choir boys ... besides appearing at the church of St. Mary of the Angels ... are present singing in the choir lofts on motion picture sets whenever their pastor officiates at film weddings.
