- Description
- Olive Young was an actress who was a major star at the Great Wall studio in Shanghai from 1926 to 1929. Born Olive Young in St. Joseph, Missouri, she first visited China at the age of 16, when her parents sent her to Hong Kong to complete her education. Two years later she began her acting career in Shanghai. After 1929, she returned to the United States and had a brief acting career in Hollywood.
