While living in Los Angeles, Montague became incredibly popular with celebrities such as Bing Crosby, due in large part to his prowess at golf. At the time of his arrest, Oliver Hardy was his roommate. Montague, left, is pictured with his lawyer, Jerry Giesler, right. Circa July 10, 1937.
