Rex Ingram was an actor.
Avanelle Harris at one time was a dancer in the Cotton Club Cuties chorus line. She also performed with the Mosetti Trio act. She was married to Annanias, of the Berry Brothers
Alice Key was a showgirl who later became a journalist, community activist, and political leader.
William "Count" Basie was an American jazz pianist, organist, bandleader and composer.
Nelson Creswell was the owner of the Cress Bar in 1947, was known as a fastidious dresser and was frequently mentioned in social reporting in the Los Angeles Sentinel. According to Walter Gordon, Jr., he was known as someone who occasionally sold goods door to door, and who never squealed on anyone as to where they got something.
Mae Johnson was an actress, dancer and showgirl.
Maudine Simmons Creswell may have been married to Nelson Creswell; she answered to either Maudine Simmons or Maudine Creswell.
Charlotte (West) Strickland was the wife of Dr. Strickland of Philadelphia (possibly Wilbur H. Strickland?). - Description
