Jesse Bowman Mann went to college at Howard University and studied law at Northwestern University. He practiced law in Chicago for almost fifty years. He was also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Thomas W. Myles was a longtime friend of Walter L. Gordon, Jr. According to Mr. Gordon, Thomas Myles was an excellent track and field athlete. He was also involved in local politics.
