- Summary
- Sadie Louise Davidson was a hairstylist who founded the Hair Stylist Guild and the Beauticians and Barbers Coordinating Council, and who became the first African American member of the State Board of Cosmetology Advisory Committee. She produced fasion shows, including The Beauty Salon of Tomorrow at Lincoln Theater (1940). She was also active in many groups, such as the Urban League, the NAACP, the National Council of Negro Women, Indpendent Scholarship Guild of the Independent Church of Christ. She helped found the Alpha Wives Auxiliary adn was Chairman for Public Relations for the Chi Delta Sorority.
