Cassie Harris came to Los Angeles from Chicago, and eventually worked at the Dunbar Hotel. She was socially active, and a charter member of the organization 13 Aides, a group of prominent women who devoted their time to organizing programs to support the underprivileged. She was married to Paul Harris, a cook.
