- Mildred Boyd was an actress and dancer. She began her entertainment career in the 1920s as a chorus girl at popular black nightclubs in Los Angeles. She later appeared in movies in which she often portrayed the role of the maid. Later in her career she was able to play different roles and showcase her acting and dancing talents in race films. She retired from entertainment in the 1950s.
