Text from back of photograph: During the filming of Happy-Go-Lovely at Elstree studios, Hollywood dancing star Vera-Ellen had no chance of looking round London. She was either rehearsing or before the cameras every day of the production. So when at last, after five months hard work, her part in the film was completed Vera-Ellen decided to see the famous landmarks of England's capital for herself. Her guide and companion for the day was Britain's top male star, Richard (Hasty Heart) Todd, who was himself sightseeing in Hollywood only a few months earlier. Together, the two made a lightning tour of the city, visiting such well-known spots as Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Fleet Street, Green Park and the Houses of Parliament. Regen Street, in the heart of London, is the setting as Richard Todd buys a newspaper for Vera-Ellen. In the background is Piccadilly Circus.
