Text from back of photograph: A scene from the lively, haunting waltz number: One, Two, Three, featuring Hollywood dancing star Vera-Ellen and members of the Corpa de Ballet.In the film Happy-Go-Lovely, the One, Two, Three number takes place on the stage of the Mercury Theatre, Edinburgh, where Vera-Ellen, as Janet Jones, has taken over the part of leading lady.The music of One, Two, Three was written by Mischa Spoliansky and the choreography was arranged by Pauline Grant. Scenic designs, which are executed in delicate pastel shades to suit the mood of the dance, are provided by Art Director John Howell. The lilting, vivacious melody of the One, Two, Three waltz provides an excellent opportunity for Vera-Ellen to show her versatility as both dancer and singer. Happy-Go-Lovely is an Associated British-Marcel Hellman production in Technicolor starring David Niven, Vera-Ellen and Cesar Romero. Bruce Humberstone directs this big-scale musical set against the background of the Edinburgh Festival.
