Date on back of poster, 1994, reflects when the vendor received the copy later acquired by the UCLA Library.
A black and white photo in which a young man stands alone against an empty background, on the right side of the photo. He wears jeans, a long sleeved shirt with open collar, and a vest open at the front. With dark hair and a large dark moustache, he looks dolefully toward the viewer, left hand placed on his waist, right hand in his jeans pocket. The photo evokes a sombre mood of lonliness and fear, which encourages to viewer to think about being in the same state as the young man, and emphasizes the need to stop AIDS.
Poster held by Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. History & Special Collections, Collection no. 306, item SZ026.
