- ENGLISH: 2nd June 1955 issue 299 Weekly Comment newspaper A report from Uganda shows that African smallholders in Uganda are better off than their European small holder or crofter counterparts .Farmers from Uganda had the most prosperous year in their history in 1954 .From cotton and coffee alone they earned 11.4 million euros more than their previous 3 million euros in their previous year and hence good returns from the sales to all the farmers.
