黒本 [Kurohon] (narrative prose published in two to three volumes each printed on 5 leaves with black cover during the mid 18th century ; one type of 草双紙 [kusazōshi], pictorial popular books, published in Edo).
製版 [seihan] (woodblock printing).

袋綴 [fukurotoji] (pouch binding). 後補題簽 [kōho daisen/atodaisen] (post-supplemented title slip) ; 左肩・双辺 [saken sōhen] (double bordered, pasted on the left side of cover) ; title in 墨書 [bokusho] (hand-written in sumi ink). 砥粉色後表紙 [tonokoiro atobyōshi] (sand yellow post-supplemented cover).

Condition note

Lacks volumes 1-2 ; volumes 3-5 bound together ; 総裏打ち [sō-urauchi] (fully-lined).
