SPANISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa habla con Juan de Dios Yapita de los siguientes temas: 1. Las causas del sobreparto y la muerte de las mujeres en el momento del parto (partu usu) por debilidad, debido a la falta de una buena alimentación. 2. Comenta de la muerte de las mujeres cuando el bebé no logra salir (wawachaka), en cuyo caso se abren la barriga de la mamá para sacar al bebé para luego bautizarlo y enterrarlo para evitar el castigo a la comunidad. 3. De los bebés que nacen con la cabeza grande, pero que después se acomoda, o los que nacen sacando primero los pies que son consideradas personas que comen las almas (jururu). Asimismo los bebés que nacen en luna llena (urt’a). 4. Los bebés que nacen mellizos, un varón y una mujer (awalla), que cuando son mayores contraen matrimonio y están destinados a estar juntos. 5. La falta de comunicación de los padres con los hijos sobre el desarrollo y los cambios del cuerpo en mujeres y varones en la adolescencia. 6. Él comenta de los masajes (qaquña) que realiza a las mujeres que tienen complicaciones en el parto y luego otra persona se encarga del recién nacido. 7. Se baña las mujeres después del parto con agua de romero y con la fibra de las llamas tres veces. 8. La educación de los niños y jóvenes en el saludo, el respeto a los mayores, en la vestimenta, en los cuidados de los animales, en los cultivos, a la tierra, y al tata Santiago, San Gerónimo, San Agustín y al espíritu del mundo. 10. Opina de las personas que piden limosna en las calles considerándolo como pecado y que se originó desde el gobierno de Hernán Siles, y 11. Los cambios del carácter de las personas que son notorios desde la Reforma Agraria.
ENGLISH: Domingo Jiménez Aruquipa talks with Juan de Dios Yapita about the following topics: 1. The causes of labor and death of women at the time of childbirth (partu usu) due to weakness for the lack of good nutrition. 2.
