Jose Cesario Moreno and his wife Maria Guadalupe Gertrudis Perez were from Real del Rosario, Sinaloa. They were among 12 families from Rosario recruited in 1781 to settle in Los Angeles. Moreno served as a Los Angeles Regidor; he is buried at Mission San Gabriel.
