- Description
- ENGLISH: Weekly Comment newspaper issue 303 of June 30, 1955 one of the most potent measures taken to deal with the current Emergency in Kenya was the ban placed upon African political organisations.Although the authorities have been unable to discover the origin of the movement , it is believed to have originated from Members of the African Union "MAU" The ban has been lifted following the recent meeting of some 60 Trade Union delegates in Nairobi asked what constitutes a political meeting and what limits Government proposed to put upon the numbers attending.
