About this Collection
The systemic homophobia and instrumentalization of history for political purposes by populist and right-wing parties in Poland in recent years has led to the exclusion of specific minority groups from mainstream historical discourse, including LGBTQIA+ communities. The Fundacja Q (Poland) is a non-governmental organization working to expand knowledge about queer history and create a culture of coexistance. The foundation hosts workshops, events, and classes that create space and opportunity for LGBTQIA+ individuals living in Poland.
