Text from newspaper caption: What Makes Up the Stars and Myriad Suns Dr. Roland Tileston, head of the department of physics, Pomona College, and the laboratory apparatus used in the lecture. In front of him are "models" of atoms of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon. Behind him on the table are Crookes tubes in which electrons are made to do acrobatic stunts. Above on the wire are Geissler tubes in which electrons announce themselves in colors. In the right-hand corner are models of crystals.
