Hathaway Manuscripts

About this Collection

The Hathaway Collection consists of 24 leaves of music manuscript waste taken from bindings in which the leaves had been used as linings and pastedowns. The leaves represent a variety of types of music manuscripts, including breviaries, missals, antiphonals, and graduals, originating from Germany, Switzerland, and the Low Countries between the 11th and 15th centuries.
