Clubs named after Dr. Francis Townsend to advocate for his old age pension plans, a precursor to Social Security. West was western divisional director of Townsend club; Litchenfels, state area officer; Highley, President of Los Angeles club; Biddlecom, member of national advisory board. Wives of Bliss and Highley also present.
