Chinese men, women, and children, some in costume, observe the festivities of the New Year along with Mexicans and Americans.
The lion costume is held up by two men. Smoke rises from several firecrackers strewn on the ground. Behind the lion a group of men watch, two other men standing in front of the lion, mostly obscured by the smoke.
