"Song of the Nile" float with two sphinx statuettes before lounging, costumed participants. One character fans the others with peacock feathers. The float is covered with leafy foliage, and a vase and other decorative elements are visible. The float was entered by the Pasadena Theatres, Inc.
1927 was the first year the the Tournament of Roses Parade had a theme, "Songs in Flowers," with each float typifying a song
