Port Los Angeles was built by the Southern Pacific Railroad and opened in 1894. It was also known as the Long Wharf and the Mile Long Pier.
S. S. Corona leaving Port Los Angeles. Steam billows from the ship. There are men visible on the deck of the ship. The wooden pier is visible at the left. There are rips at the top of the negative.
