Why isn't the transcript text consistent with the audio? My browser crashes when I listen to the interview, what should I do? Why isn't the transcript text consistent with the audio? As part of its standard procedures the Center for Oral History Research allows interviewees to review their written transcripts and to make corrections, deletions, and additions to the written text. As a result, some portions of the transcript may differ from the audio recording. My browser crashes when I listen to the interview, what should I do?We have heard that some browsers crash when they try to play our audio files. We are currently using a Helix Server to stream the interview audio files and RealPlayer at the user end to play the audio files. If your browser crashes when you listen to the interview, there are likely conflicts with your browser’s add-ons and plugins. Try uninstalling RealPlayer and then reinstalling it (http://www.real.com/). It is very important to close all your browser windows during the installation process. |
